Top Secret

Top Secret is a flooring collection designed by Design Pool’s Kristen Dettoni. This collection is inspired by code, the messages they communicate through patterns, and the women codebreakers of WWII. All patterns are designed with a hidden message written in code. That code is used to create shapes and the shapes ultimately form patterns.

Top Secret begins with Daisy Chain. Using the Greek Square Cipher, a cheerful floral pattern emerges with soft, overlapping petals. Science uses Morse code to create an energetic stripe. Bird also uses a bar code, this time on a larger scale to form floating squares of texture. Five Languages uses binary code in a crisp pattern with strong shapes of texture. Railroad also uses binary code to create a sophisticated geometric pattern.
